JOB VACANCIES Tanzania Prison Service -
The Commissioner General of the Prisons Service, announces employment opportunities for Tanzanian youth with Form IV education and skills in various fields at Diploma and Degree levels as specified in this Advertisement. All applicants are required to have the following qualifications:-
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS:
- You must be a citizen of Tanzania.
- Have a Citizenship ID or Nationality Number from the National Identification Authority (NIDA).
- Must not have ever been employed by the Government.
- Be between 18 -24 years of age for Form Four graduates and 18 - 28 for skilled workers.
- Have a Birth Certificate. Must be at least 5'4" tall for women and 5'7" tall for men.
- Be in good physical and mental health as certified by a Government Doctor.
- She must not be married and must not have ever given birth.
- He should not have any marks or drawings on his body (tattoos).
- Be of good character and discipline, and have never been convicted of a criminal offense in court and have never been imprisoned.
- Be willing to attend the initial training for Prison Officers and to work anywhere in Tanzania Mainland.
- Be prepared to personally finance all stages of the initial interview for this job up to reporting to training.
SKILLS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering.
- Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Technology and Animation.
- Bachelor of Cyber Security;
- Bachelor of Network Engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Counseling.
- Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering.
- Diploma in Office Machine Technology.
- Diploma in Sign Language.
- Diploma in Agriculture.
- Diploma in Nursing. Diploma in Agricultural Mechanization.
- Diploma in Animal Health and Production.
- Certificate in Secretarial.

NOTE:
All applicants who were expelled from prison pre-military training courses are not allowed to apply again. Any applicant who submits false/forged documents or conceals true educational qualifications will have committed a criminal offense and will be subject to strict legal action. The Application Deadline is August 29, 2025.
