Relationship Officer, Personal Banking at DCB Commercial Bank Tanzania
Job Description
The successful candidate will advise clients, foster business growth, provide financial investment guidance, ensure customer satisfaction, retain existing clients, and acquire new customers through sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Promoting and selling various liability products to attract low-cost deposits from diverse customer segments and sourcing current and savings accounts.
- Seeking new customers through existing leads, referrals, and cold calling, while maximizing lead generation and ensuring a healthy closure rate.
- Advising customers on bank products and services based on their financial needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Conducting planned direct promotion/marketing activities for bank products and cross-selling secured assets where relevant.
- Adhering to due diligence, internal policies, and KYC norms while opening new accounts.
- Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships while offering a high level of customer service.
- Screening clients for loan eligibility requirements.
- Preparing loan application documents in line with the bank’s latest credit policy and procedural manual.
- Proactively conducting pre- and post-monitoring visits to clients to ensure their ability to make repayments based on financial and personal circumstances.
- Achieving prescribed disbursement and deposit weekly and monthly targets.
- Writing and submitting periodic status reports to the branch manager, including daily activity reports and calls/follow-ups made

Background Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree from a recognized tertiary institution. 3 years’ experience in a sales and client management role in a financial institution. Knowledge of the banking industry, banking products, services, and regulations. Good working knowledge of the personal banking sector and its practices in Dar es Salaam. Good selling and negotiation skills. Customer-centric with excellent communication skills.
